What we do

CymruFuture is a networking initiative just for junior professionals and budding entrepreneurs in and around South Wales, from trainees all the way through to those in junior management positions. The initiative is open to junior professionals and entrepreneurs in any sector, and our members are drawn widely from sectors including accounting, financial services, commercial property, architecture, engineering, media, law, energy and public sector bodies.

Membership is based on your career stage, so your age is irrelevant – our members typically range from those in their early 20's to their late 30's, but all junior professionals and up-and-coming entrepreneurs are welcome.

We hold informal networking events every quarter, and have gained coverage in the Western Mail's business section, and in Cardiff Life magazine. Our most recent event, a Firework Night event at Mocka Lounge in Cardiff, was attended by over 130 junior professionals from across South Wales.

Additionally, we have social media pages, allowing members to continue making contacts between events.

Our Mission

We aim to bring together South Wales' junior professionals and entrepreneurs, so that they can meet and make contacts in a friendly, informal and fun environment. We hope that this will increase awareness of the wide range of commercial activities being undertaken in and around South Wales, and encourage the current generation of junior professionals to cultivate friendships and contacts that will endure, as they progress in their careers, and become tomorrow's business leaders.

Our Origins

CymruFuture is based in Cardiff, and is open to any organisation in or near South Wales. The initiative was founded in October 2009 in recognition that existing networking forums were aimed at more established members of the business community than early career professionals. Following its inaugural event, a quiz night at Eversheds LLP's Cardiff office, CymruFuture has gone from strength to strength, to become the leading networking group for young professionals in South Wales
